NEW CHAIRMAN AND BOARD MEMBERS FOR RISK PUBLISHING ONLINE
Risk Publishing Online, the e-publisher owned by AIRMIC (Association of Insurance and Risk Managers), has strengthened its board with the appointment of three new members.
Nigel Lucas becomes the new company’s first chairman. He is currently Vice-President, Compliance at Intertek plc where he played a key role in preparing the company for flotation on the London Stock Exchange. His role at Intertek includes overseeing the company’s growth, both organic and through acquisition.
Anne Mollen becomes a director. She is currently a doctoral researcher at the Cranfield School of Management and also acts as a marketing and new media consultant, specializing in assessing the effect of the internet on brand reputation and brand loyalty. She was Head of Strategic Planning at Telegraph Newspapers and then moved to Express Newspapers, eventually becoming a board director with responsibility for creating and developing the new media division.
David Hertzell, formerly a managing partner at a large firm of solicitors, also becomes a director. He is a Law Commissioner, having previously been an active member of AIRMIC and chair of its Captives group for several years.

RPO was set up last year to sell training courses. Its initial product is PRORIM (Professional Risk Management), a course developed by several European risk management associations and academic institutions and funded by the EU’s Leonardo Fund. PRORIM went live in September and already has users in 10 different countries. It was designed mostly for people working for small and medium-sized enterprises and non risk managers in large organisations.
